Bio

I currently live in Fairport, NY (have for the past 40+ years) with my wife of 41+ years, Vicki. We have three children, Joe, married to Nadine, Matt, and Elissa, married to Mark. Joe and Nadine have three children, Kaid, Liam and Mia. Mark and Elissa have two daughters, Marina and Alena. All live within a 20 mile radius of us.

After graduating from RIT, working in the corporate world for 35 years, surviving two leveraged buy-outs and 4 downsizing's, I retired. Then, my son Matt asked me to become his partner in a small construction company. Along the way, we acquired two apartment houses in the Park avenue area. I do most of the paperwork and accounting for the business and we share the maintenance duties for the apartments.

My take on Life: Try to maintain a sharp mind and a soft heart. Being there for my wife, children and grandchildren, maintaining old friendships and making new ones has been my greatest success. I try to "keep 'em laughing"…just as I did in high school. I try to stress to my kids and grandkids the importance of interaction (talking with/hanging out) with people you meet and like. Today's young adults and children spend way too much time alone…with electronic gadgets and equipment.

What am I still learning? That gravity increases as you get older. If you see me at the reunion, you will notice that I'm shorter and wider…That you are only as happy as your unhappiest kid. Words of wisdom: keep interested in new things and old friends….find someone you trust, who knows you well, and ask them to be your medical advocate (should you need extensive/intensive treatment). Keep, or get a sense of humor. Don't try to look 30…. that bag of Depends gives you away. Pray, and ask God to keep you and yours healthy, loving and learning. I will add you guys to my list.

My best to all….Jerry Andres
